Teach or exercise authority are two different things (ie, ruling vs. teaching elders).
Teaching is not necessarily only limited to preaching.
And, yes, preaching does take place in other forums outside of Sunday morning: chapel, missions, outreach, etc.
I don’t understand why we have made this so hard.
Women don’t and haven’t been permitted to preach (ie, teach theology and doctrine and exposition from the Scriptures) to men. Why are we all of a sudden acting like somehow this is gray or an open area?
